Cute birthday purse card

This first project is from the Forever Young Cartridge.  I love this cartridge, so many cute and fun cuts on it. I love purses and so does a friend of mine, this will be her birthday card.
I used my Gypsy to weld 2 purse shapes and layout the letters in place.  I then changed out my blade for my blue Cricut marker and drew the shapes onto the yellow card stock.  I then went back into the gypsy and deleted the words and replaced the blade into the Expression. This way it would cut the purse and flowers and not cut the letters out.
I then deleted everything but the purse and put pink paper on the mat to get my outer layer of the purse.  Sounds like a lot but it went pretty fast once I had the initial project laid out.

Here's another view, giving you a closer look at my flowers. I added lemon ice stickles and cotton candy stickles. I used my copic marker to outline the pink flower and draw the stitching on the purse.  I knotted some ribbon on the handle to simulate a scarf on the handle. (I'm very tickled with this card)
I colored in the letters with the same copic I drew the stitching with and added another fun flower inside.
The letters are Blackletter font.
My next project is using the Carousel Cartridge.  My parents too Emily on a train ride last month and sine then she's talked and talked about this train.  The other night she decided on her own accord to create a train of her own.  Complete with passengers, seat belts and snacks.  She is such an imaginative child, never ceases to amaze us. So in honor of her train I had to make a page to show case it.

I kept it super simple because I want her train to be the focus.  The circle background was created using my new Lucky 8 punch, it's the most amazing new tool!!
I outlined the train cars and embellished the letters using my mint green liquid pearls.
I haven't printed the picture yet but here she is, our little conductor. (makes me proud!)
I had to cut ribbons and yarn pieces to make sure everyone had seat belts. It was worth the sacrifice of ribbon to watch her play train conductor.
Now, for more fun and inspiration please head over to Laurie
