Christmas stocking

I am participating in a secret sister swap with Simply Betty's facebook group.
This is the card I made to send with my SS goodies.
Such a fun image.
There are candy canes under the buttons but after I added the glitter to the garland you couldn't' see them very well so I needed to fix my mistake.

We had a blog hop on Friday to show off our goodies, be sure to check it out.

Secret sister card

simplybstamps.net

Simply Betty offered a secret sister exchange.  I thought it would be fun, we were to buy a cute pair of socks and send some candy along with them.
This is the card I made for my secret sister.

Here are the goodies I sent her. I sure hope she enjoys them!

Witchy trouble

This is the challenge image this month from Simply Betty.
Isn't' she pretty? I like how she turned out, I tried to add some glow from her potion she's working on.

Creepy Crawlies

This is another image from Simply Betty.
I am in no way a spider fan, but I really like this image.
I'm proud how she came out, I used my colored pencils and gamsol again.

I'm adding this to the Dream Valley Challenge

Happy birthday to me!!

This is the progressive challenge image for this month over at Simply Betty's fb fan page.
I love this.
Again, my coloring leaves a lot to be desired, but she's still pretty.

We won't talk about how old I am, I'm not feeling it, doesn't seem possible!

Simply Betty

I've got 2 cards to share with you today.
I thought I'd share them in one post since they are very similar.

Betty is such a talented artist. I just love her images. I feel my coloring doesn't do them justice.

This first one was a draw along type contest. She asked for prompts from us and she would draw, and those of us who played along were gifted the finished product.
I'm happy with her, she reminds me of what Emily could look like as a teenager.

For the easel, I put foam tape across the top then glued the bottom, I fell when using thin paper this is a more sturdy easel.

The second card is an easel shaker!
This was a free image as well, she's so generous!
This shell paper is my favorite and I picked another paper that looks like water for the backing of the shaker.

Inside I filled with with sequin stars, tiny red flowers for a pop of color and some shiney glitter and some tiny beads in dark blue and silver.
It's so shiney and makes a great sound.

on the paper flowers.

Simply Betty cards

I have 2 cards to share with you today with images from Simply Betty

This first one is a cute Halloween card for a fall pregnancy.

This image is the progressive challenge image for April.
We had to add feathers and pearls as part of the challenge.
she was a lot of fun to color.

I'm adding this card to the A vintage Journey challenge of 3 of anything.  I used 3 feathers on this card.
I've never entered anything here before but I feel this card fits with their theme.

I'm also entering this in the Creative Fingers challenge of anything goes.

Classy gal

I finally got back into the progressive challenge with Simply Betty on her facebook fan page.
It's been ages, I missed it.

I used my pencils and gamsol to color and blend, adding some crystal effects in places like the mirror, her eyes and brooch as well as the little circles beside the mirror.

Monstrously Happy Christmas

I made this card for Emily.  She is a big Monster High fan and really likes Draculaura.  When I first saw this image, it was the first thing I thought of.  So I colored it in Draculaura's colors and made the girl look like Emily.
I hope she likes it.

This is from Simply B stamps, called Rio Trimming the Tree

Bewitched

This is a current challenge from Simply Betty on her facebook page.
Faces are not easy for me but I wanted to try.
Since Betty is the Queen of Halloween, I made this a Halloween card.

Gate fold easel cards

How cute is this bear?  I think he's a great surprise when you open this pretty card.
I had to hold it shut (notice the paint brush handle?)
It pretty much pops open on it's own and the bear says "surprise!"

For this one, the file is pretty plain, so you can customize it to your liking.
I used some sea shell die cuts to decorate the front.
And one of my Simply Betty digital stamps for inside.
I colored her with my colored pencils and blended with gamsol.

Sending healing prayers

I'm sure you've heard about the recent attack at the night club in Orlando, FL.
Simply Betty created this image with that in mind.
I made this card with the help of my SIL program. I created the letters and used a pattern from my library to fill the main heart.

The rest is colored with my markers.

I live north of Orlando, a little over an hour from that club.  It's terrifying knowing something so terrible happened so close to home.  Prayers to all who were touched by this.
