Melinda’s Paper Crafting World

(http://www.cookingwithcricut.com) and start at the

beginning.

Today I have chosen to show you my very first vinyl project.  I was really nervous but turns out it's not much different than using paper.
I love Cherries and turns out, it's not so easy to find cherry kitchen stuff.  Well, I made my own and I love it! Even the hubby likes it and he usually doesn't have many comments about my work.
I used the From my Kitchen cartridge and cut the oven mit at 6 inches, the pot holder is cut at 4
If you look really close you can see my boo boo's, a few bubbles and not perfect alignment. But it's home made and I'm not trying for perfect, it makes me happy and that's why I love crafting.

And for my second project, I made this gorgeous flower tree.  I recently signed up for Close To My Heart and I got the Art Philosophy cartridge.  There are several different types of flowers you can cut from this cartridge.  I used 3 different ones on my tree. I started with a Styrofoam cone, cut lots and lots of flowers in sizes 2, 3, & 4 inches in peach, yellow and purple paper.  I then quilled and quilled and quilled.  Once the flowers were dry I put some more glue on the foam then used a pearl headed pin to stick it to the foam.  I used a very random placement. I went very fast to keep my perfectionism at bay and to avoid a pattern.  The ribbon on top is from my stash, I just tied a bow at each end then stacked them and tucked the loose ends under and stuck it to the top with a pin.
I LOVE this project and it will be displayed prominently in my home.  I plan to make more of these for gifts.

There are a whole list of projects from yesterday too, so head back to the beginning once you finish today's list, to check out all the projects for both days.

Thanks for looking please head over to Jamie's blog

Here's the line up in case you want to revisit anyone or get lost
