P's Treats

Hello! I have a fun project to share with you today!
When I first saw this file I immediately knew I had
to make our Precious a special treat jar.
She has a problem with dandruff so we add Safflower oil to her treats to help with that, warranting a special container.

She's such a good baby, although, baby isn't quite right since she's 14 now.

Vinyl glassware gifts

These are a couple of gifts I made for a friend, she's got them now so I can share :)
The images are from the SIL store.  The phrases I typed and chose a font from my collection.

I couldn't get it to photograph well, the red is glitter vinyl.

Sadly she lost 2 fur babies last year so I made her this candle holder in remembrance of them.

It's so nerve wracking making gifts for friends. I hope she loves them!

Nerdy kitty

Are you like me?  Collect SVG and digital stamp files and rarely use them?  Well, I am a huge fan of SVG cutting files, and their hops are SO fun and inspirational!  I have so many files from hops and those I've purchased and don't think to use them.
Well, we start our home school group and Em needs a folder for her work done there.  I decided to make it super fun and remembered the hello kitty hop.  I love the paw prints in the font, it was my inspiration.
I cut everything in vinyl and applied it to the folder.

HO HO HO Merry Christmas!!

I am having SO much fun with vinyl!  I bought this charger at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 and went to town with some gold and some white vinyl and some help from a crafty buddy.

This santa head is actually a stamp that was turned into a digital image by stamping and scanning then opening in the Silhouette Designer program and creating a cut file.
The wording I did using the program.
I saw this idea on one of the groups I'm on for SIL users, can't take the credit for the idea!

Pretty Unity glass

During CHA week in July Unity offered a free digital image to play with, do you remember?  You can check my original project out here
So, I took 2 of the images, flipped one then welded them together to  make a bigger net.  I cut the image in a clear frost vinyl and applied it to a clear tumber.
Pretty right? I like it.  I had a few issues with the application, it's the biggest piece I've added to a cup, but it's for me so that is ok, right?

Pinque Peacock beauty

I saw a similar project on Pinerest
I can not find it now of course...bad me
So here's what I did, I bought 2 pair of children's jean at good will. I looked for the ones with stains or tears so as not to take away a good pair of pants from a kid, lol, goofy maybe but that's what I did.
I bought a yard of lace, and a cork board.  I painted the frame white, attached the ribbon to the back with heavy duty staples and cut the jeans apart.
While I had the paint out I used one of my CTMH stamps and inked it with the paint.
I used fabric glue to attach the lace to the pockets.
I then glued my pockets in place and pulled out my pins and flowers and went to town.
 "Beading" I cut from vinyl
The owl pin I made, the angel is from my friend Ana
This is another pin I made and the flower is an SVG file
This is a Pinque Peacock pin, top and center of course!
There is a pin in the center that I made, the flower is another SVG file
I put one of the adorable Pinque Peacock candy bead pins on the left and the pin on the right is another one from my friend Ana
I love the sets of beads that Joann's has, so beautiful and they match so I don't have to guess.  I loved these and waned them displayed so I made a few dangles.
I added my beading and wire tools to the pockets but I didn't like it, I also did it to test the strength, I used fabric glue to attach the denim to the board, I left the tools in the pockets for several days and not the slightest loosening!
Project success!!

I want to share a project I made for a hop in case you missed it. I really like how this turned out!

I covered a small notebook I found at the Dollar Tree, it's got lined paper inside, perfect for notes or a journal.
This was offered by Unity during CHA as a bonus.  I colored it with pencils, I used my Cameo to cut and offset of the images.  The crochet flowers and the butterflies were colored by spraying them with alcohol then dripped reinkers directly on them. I let them dry over night then added them to the cover of the notebook.

I also added some red bling to the image and pen then added a fun pearl beaded stick pin by Pinque Peacock.

I'm so hooked on doing vinyl projects, this is something with my favorite file and one of the first I ever bought from Dina. (Treasure Box Designs)
I know, he's not pink but I thought the colors that were in the finished sample were gorgeous so I tried to keep it the same.
When I saw this cup at CVS I immediately knew it was for my proud guy!
He blends right in like it was meant to be!!
This is by far my favorite cup I've made for myself!! I also added gems to his feathers using E6000 glue.
I had wash him so he doesn't peel or loose any gems.

Fun right?

Today, I have a fun project to share, if you follow my blog you know how in love I am with my Cameo, I've gotten pretty good at turning digtal images into cut files, one of the first things I did was with a FBD image, remember this card?

If you missed it, click the pic to go back and review

Today's project is using the fun flip flops images
I used my Cameo to turn them into a cutting file similar to what I did above. I then cut them in vinyl.
This represents my family.  I don't care for the stick people that every one has on the back of their cars so I decided, since we live in Florida I'd use Flip flops.
I learned a lesson too on this, Do NOT put this on in the middle of the day in July! That glass is HOT HOT HOT, as you can see by the bubbles, I've been assured they will work themselves out.  I sure hope so!

So, what do you think?
Head over to the blog to see what the design team has come up for you today! I missed my deadline to get my project featured, bad bad girl, I know.

Meet my crafting kids

If you are addicted to paper crafting like I am then you will totally get this post, if you are just a novice then you might not understand and you might think I'm a little goofy.

I'd like to introduce you to Cammi and Iggy.   My Cameo and Imagine.  This is where they live on the table my my desk.  They are good buddies.  I haven't done much with vinyl and am not great at it but I like how this turned out.  I also labeled the box I have my printed digital stamps in on my desk.  Now to get the cover made for them.  I plan to make a big cover to go over both of them.

Mirror vs vinyl

I used Cindy Lou to decorate this mirror.
I found this mirror at Home Depot for $3.00 on clearance! I've been wanting a big mirror for the hall for a long time so I was thrilled to find this!

Here is a close up of the fun little birdhouse.  I used white vinyl and colored it with my copics to give the wood grain look. I am tickled with this project, I hope you like it too.
For this project I used Hoot N Holler.  This is such a fun cartridge.  I used paper I got from Erica's store.  It wasn't real keen on being cut by my Expression so it's a little rough.  I love the texture on the papers.

Isn't she a fun little owl?

For my next project I used the Sweet Tooth boxes,  this is the first time I've used this cartridge, I thought I HAD to have it and when I got it realized it wasn't what I thought so I tucked it away and forgot about it.
That is one of the reasons I love being on this design team, it makes me use my cartridges that I would probably never touch!

So I LOVE how this turned out, it's so adorable!
I added acetate to the windows and cut a second set so the inside is finished like the outside.
I used my embossing stylus to "smoosh" the flowers for dimension on the topiary. I dotted yellow glitter glue in the centers.  The door knob is a silver glittered brad.
