Today is the Mother's day challenge over at Paper Crafting World, I used the Tea for two digi to make my Mom's card. (click the blinkie to go shop) I used the version Melinda colors for us. I added some crystal effects to the center of the heart and on her headband. I then used liquid pearls around the heart on the scallops.
I used pink and teal twine under the mug in a cross then used both to tie a cute bow. The button has tiny pink polka dots on it and it's tied with the teal twine. The card base is a gemstone paper from Joann's, I love this paper, the rest of the paper on the card is My Mind's Eye called blush.
This view shows the dimension, I just think it's the cutest!
And here is the inside. I used the paper to make a pocket, it's attached at the bottom with glue and on the sides at the top I used foam squares to make room for the tea bags.
I included two calming tea bags since my Mother could use some relaxation :) I had this strip left over from the front of the card and it screamed bookmark, my mom reads A LOT so I added the same gem paper to the back using one of my fiskars border punches, it worked perfectly with the strip I cut off the front layer. The You're special and the bird on the bottom are Studio G stamps I stamped on using cocoa ink.
The ribbons are stapled to keep them in place.
I'm sure my mom will be thrilled, she's never gotten a card like this before!!
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to link your project for the challenge over at the PCW blog.
