Eureka challenge - Add some bling

Happy Monday!! Today I'm sharing another cool technique. After I colored my image, I used a brick pattern die cut to cut the image.  I carefully applied glue to the pieces while still in place on the die then laid my yellow paper on top and pressed really well.  After getting all of the pieces in place, I had a few that moved due to static on my cutting plates so I placed the grid or mortar lines back in place and glued the loose pieces, leaving a few around the perimeter missing on purpose.  I then removed the mortar lines again and sponged the piece with gray ink.  I then glued it in place.  I printed the Happy Birthday on yellow pearl paper and put it in the bottom corner.
So how did I do?  Have you every tried this?  It took some time but I think it's really cool!
