Another granny square blanket done!

So, did you see my post last week about the resolution I made to finish the projects I've started over the past year and not finished?

Well, here's another granny square blanket from the granny square a day in 2016 that I still have quite a few squares I need to make.

I love this color combination, it's so rich and beautiful.
Very classy I think.
This was like the yellow and green one, I had the appropriate number of squares made, I just had to finish sewing them together and add the border.

Here's a couple of close up shots so you can see that each square is different.

This is my first time doing something different for the border, I did each color, starting with the burgundy.  When I got to the white I did a chain space between the double crochet and skipping a stitch.  Then I went back to the burgundy and did a single crochet in each double crochet and a treble crochet in the skipped stitch from the light grey.
I love the look, I think it matches the blanket really well.

I also made a pillow to match.  This square turned out so huge, I thought it would be neat to have a pillow.

Here's that list I was talking about, now I've got 2 projects crossed off, it feels really good!!
