Simple beauty

These are 2 more cards from Creative Kuts.  I used the same paper pad to make them so I thought I would share them at the same time.
How pretty did they turn out?
I love DCWV paper stacks.

Spring has sprung

Cutie KaToodles - Spring Bee Peeker

Spring has sprung!
How cute is this little bee?  I used a card base from Creative Kuts to showcase this sweet little guy along with some paper from the Watercolor Garden DCWV paper stack.  Perfect match I think!

For the guys

Today I used the dragon stamp and some DCWV papers to make my card.
This week's theme is For the guys.
After I colored my dragon and cut him out, I used shimmer mist to spray him. I love the look it gives him. It's subtle until the card shifts in the light.

Today our challenge theme is Things with Wings!

The sentiment is from MFT I believe.

You make me laugh

This week's theme is "for the guys"
I chose this adorable dragon, colored him up and sprayed him with shimmer mist then let my cameo cut him out.

The paper is from the Llama stack that DCWV put out this year.  I LOVE that paper pad. Super cute!!
Anyway, there are these little panels with different phrases and such on them.

I did my placement a little different to make the card stand out more, trust me, my ocd did not appreciate it but I forced myself and I really like the look.
I think it makes his smoke stand out even more looking like it's coming off the card.
And inside, I used another word panel from the paper stack that matched the piece I used as the mat on the front.

Potion problems

DTC Designer
How cute is this little frog?!
I just love her!
I used a couple of digital papers from Little Scraps along with a fun DCWV paper stack.
Here's a close up of the patterns I used on her.  Her hat is acutally a paper with a Jack o lantern face on it.
I used the clock paper on the inside from the potion bottle.

Carousel card

Decorate To Celebrate!

This is an adorable card I found on the SIL site.  I used the Happy Day paper stack from DCWV.
I really love this paper, it's so pretty.

I folded the flaps to the back to cover the sentiment and it happens they make the perfect easel for the card!

I used the sheet of paper that looks like doilies on wood for the top of the horses so they look like paints, well, that was my intention anyway.

I cut pieces for the back to cover the plain white, and used one of the pieces from the stack to write my message on.

Bunny calendar easel card

It's time to link up with us at Decorate to Celebrate!

I've kind of been on a roll with these easel cards, I think it's a really cute way to send someone a sweet note and keep you in their hearts all year long.  There are lots of people who collect bunnies so who wonderful would this be to give that person a daily smile?
I love this little bunny, I used my colored pencils and gamsol to blend everything out.

Pretty birdie

Today I am sharing a sweet easel card with a calendar inside.  This would be a great card to send to a friend as a pick me up, for Mother's day or a birthday.
This was the free image you received if you hopped with us a few weeks ago for the new release at Sunsational stamps.

This first one I colored myself and added gems to some of the flower centers.

This one I used the pre-colored digi and added the same gems to some flower centers.

Happy St. Patrick's day!!

Decorate To Celebrate!

The theme is Anything goes, so be sure to link up with us!

I used a file from SVG Cuts for today's card.
How cool are these pansies?

I reversed the back panel and the flowers to add a back piece to mine, so it's pretty from the front and the back.

I'm linking up with Connie and her Anything goes challenge this month.

Warm fuzzies

digi1907(485) Happy Catapillar
digi8604(463) Warm Fuzzies

The challenge this week is Anything Goes

I love this worm, he's just so sweet and cheery.  I had these calendars I bought at the beginning of the year and decided to make an easel card with one of them.

I printed 3 of the worms because I really liked how they turned out with the pattern piecing I did.  I added some tiny gems for simple embellishments.

Quadruple easel card

I have been invited to be a designer for the Decorate to Celebrate challenge blog!!!!  I am thrilled to be part of their super talented team!
Decorate To Celebrate!

Today I am sharing a really cool and fun quadruple easel card! I know right!!!??  I found the tutorial on you tube.  I recently bought this Happy Day paper stack and have been using it like crazy and decided to base this card on the tea cup paper.  I found the tea cups and tea bag svg files in the SIL store

So this is what the card looks like when it's closed.  I added the extra squares to the top because I wanted it decorated as well.  I just used a font from my library and let my machine write it with the pens then cut it out using an offset.

This is the same view as the first picture, just a bit farther back so you can see how it's open.

Here are the measurements I used for this card:
the main base piece is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2
the pink layer is 5 1/4 by 5 1/4
2 grey pieces cut at 2 1/2 by 5
8 pieces cut at 2 1/2 by 2 1/2

You don't need to add a stopper to each easel, they stand open with out it.  I added the tea cups to cover the seam between the grey pieces.

Isn't the tea bag adorable?  The file originally has a cute face to put on the bag but I left it off.

Here is a link to the you tube tutorial that I watched.
