Hello sunshine

It's time for a new challenge at Connie Can crop!

This month our sponsor is Miss Kate Cuttables!

She's amazing, offers a new free file everyday!!

Today I'm using the Playing in the park set

For the challenge this month, there is a sketch to follow.

I changed mine up a little bit.

I mounted the kite on an action wobble and the sun is on foam tape.

I've had this "you are my sunshine" tag for quite a while and thought it would fit nicely with this card.  I used one of my Peachy Keen faces for the sun.

Be sure to check out Miss Kate if you don't already and head over to Connie's blog to see what the rest of the design team has made for your inspiration!

Scrapbook lay outs

I've got 2 pages to share with you today.  I'm still catching up from the computer crash so these are pages from the August files sent from Creative Kuts.

I used faces from Peachy Keen on my family.  I still don't like how my faces turn out on my own and I think using the stamps make a huge improvement.

I lava you

This is a digital image from Craftin Desert Divas.

I had to get this set when I saw it, it reminds me of the adorable movie short "I Lava You" I think that was the title.  I found some fun background paper I've had for a while, it reminds me of a deserted island.

The image does not have a face on it. I used one of my Peachy Keen faces to give him a sweet grin.

I made a second card playing with a new file I got from the SIL store.  This is supposed to have 3 panels but I just left one off.

Sunrise cards

Cheryl created some great Sunrise card files.  I went a little nuts with them! Stay tuned for more styles of this card too!

I figured out if I ran my folded card through my xyron it made it really easy to place all of the pieces,

Then it struck me I could use glitter to fill in the spaces as well!! I LOVE the look!

There is no one like you!

It's that time again!  How exciting right?  I sure hope you are linking up with us at PDE Linky Party! The theme is always Anything Goes! So you have no excuses!

I am using a sweet image from QKR Stampede.  Living in Central Florida I have a soft spot for these gentle giants.  We have several areas not too far where we can go watch them.  They have recently been removed from the endangered species list.  I sure hope that doesn't make people care less about them or we will be seeing more of them with cuts again from the boats.

The card base is a file from SVG Cutting Files.

Here's a shot of the action wobble in action!  I had to make them look like they were swimming.  The phrase is from a Peachy Keen stamp set.

Silly frog

I had so much fun with these cards.   This was a free set offered in April from Little Scraps of Heaven, she offers a free cut file and a free digi set each week.

This first card I used the pattern from the digi set to color my frog.  I used a fun polka dot for his tongue.

The frame is a cork sticker from CTMH along with the metal flowers.  The stickers are actually Dollar Tree finds!

I used foam dots behind his head and his tongue and some crystal effects on his eyes and tongue.

Fun?  I love it!

I really love shakers and forget about making them.  I thought this would be a great image for a shaker card.  I recently found these tiny fimo shapes on ebay and used all the bugs, with some beads and flowers so it looks like he's having a ball catching his dinner!

The stamp phrase is from Peachy Keen.

I just discovered a new challenge blog thanks to a sweet friend who's been added to their design team.  This happens to fit the current theme of die cuts.  So I'm adding this to the Hiding in my Craft room blog link up.
