Birthday tree

Happy 9th birthday to my amazing Emily!  I put this on her dresser on September 1st for her to see when she woke up.   Each day until today she's gotten a card or a small gift.
Since her birthday is 9/09/09 and she's 9 this year, it's also her last year in the single digits and if you are a numbers geek you can turn this year into a 9 and it's 09/09/09 again!
So I decided to make this an extra special birthday for her.

From a scrawny, bald Peanut to a smart, beautiful and loving pre-pre-teen!
I had no idea I could love someone so much!

Unicorn mug

This awesome gal is a file from Snapdragon Snippets.
I enlarged her so she is huge! I was looking through my SIL library for something I could make to wrap the LOL doll for Emily's birthday.  I saw this and hoped I could make it big enough and it worked!

I used embossed polkadot paper for her body to have great texture.
Her horn and hooves are silver foil paper.
For her tail I cut the pieces from white embossed polka dot paper and sponged the color on them.

I used a dark purple to cut the inner rim for some contrast.

Gems for her eyes and some stars on her cheek along with a heart cutie mark.
She's a cross between Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash, and the LOL fits just right!
I can't wait to see Emily's reaction, I hope the LOL won't be her favorite part of the gift.

Holly quilt

I made a Christmas quilt using the Holly Hexagon image.

This is a cutting file from Snapdragon

The back side of the quilt is the image that comes with the quilt.

Reindeer carols

Today I have a decor item to share with you.  I made a Christmas quilt for my little quilt rack.
I used the reindeer carols for one side and the basket along with some digital papers for the other side.

Candy Cane Angel

After Emily saw my Candy corn angel, she asked if I could make a Candy Cane one for Christmas time, well of course, ha! Doesn't she know who I am?  lol

I knew I had this sheet of candy cane paper I've been holding on to for the perfect project.  I'd of loved to use it for her skirt but I only had one sheet and her skirt requires 2 pieces of 12 by 12 paper.

I couldn't find any plastic candy canes like the candy corn pieces I used before so I found tiny pipe cleaners and made them.

I gave her red and green braids and added gems to her wings and the tips of her skirt.

Isn't' she wonderful?

This is the 4th one I've made and I'm working on more ideas.
Here are the links to the other 3 if you missed them.

Bat angel witch

Seems odd putting those words together, but that's what she is, I love making these, she is my second one.  I made the Liberty Angel and turned her into a teacher for our little classroom in our home.
(click the link to check her out)
I love the purple and green together so I knew I had to use those colors for her.
She's jointed with twine and buttons so her knees and elbows can move freely.

I used yarn for her hair and gave her braids.  Since she hangs on the wall, her hat won't stay on, so I propped it on her broom handle.  The bat is supposed to be a crown of sorts I think, but I like him better perched on her hat.

I used glass beads in purples and greens to decorate her skirt.

Christmas ornaments

3 Girl JAM

I used the coffee bundle and the barn door ribbons for my bow today and added a small piece of green jeans for some extra color.  I used my bow maker so I could get lots of layers in my bow.
This ornament is from SnapDragon snippets, the pine cone it a bit tedious to assemble but it's very realistic I think.

My next ornament is a fun one, it's the ghost from SnapDragon Snippets, I turned him into a snow man.  Does he pass?

And finally for today, I made the Beast's rose into an ornament.  This is a file from SVG Cutting files.  It's supposed to be a shaped card but I made it a little smaller and glued the card base together so it doesn't open sandwiching the hanger ribbon for extra strength. I cut the top of the dome from acetate.  I used a glue dot at the very top and hid it with the bow and 4 glue dots along the bottom and hid them under the base.

Nativity box card

I intended to make these and send this past Christmas, lol didn't work out so well, so I've got one made now.
I really like how it turned out, super cute and pretty simple to put together.
