Sweet ornaments

I used the Christmas Sweet Shoppe file to make these sweet ornaments.
I used chip board to cut the shadow from twice, I then cut 2 shadows, one for the front and one for the back.
You could even make these ornaments 2 sided, just remember to reverse the images before you cut the second image for the back.

I added a piece of acetate to the top of the gumballs to mimic glass, it looks really cute!!

Merry Christmas ornaments

I made these before Christmas and forgot to share them.
As I was taking down my Christmas tree I remembered I needed to share them.
I love how they turned out!

Christmas ornaments

So, I found these mason jar type ornaments at Dollar Tree!
Sadly I've only been able to find 4 of them.

The inside elements came from Hobby Lobby.

Christmas ornaments

3 Girl JAM

I used the coffee bundle and the barn door ribbons for my bow today and added a small piece of green jeans for some extra color.  I used my bow maker so I could get lots of layers in my bow.
This ornament is from SnapDragon snippets, the pine cone it a bit tedious to assemble but it's very realistic I think.

My next ornament is a fun one, it's the ghost from SnapDragon Snippets, I turned him into a snow man.  Does he pass?

And finally for today, I made the Beast's rose into an ornament.  This is a file from SVG Cutting files.  It's supposed to be a shaped card but I made it a little smaller and glued the card base together so it doesn't open sandwiching the hanger ribbon for extra strength. I cut the top of the dome from acetate.  I used a glue dot at the very top and hid it with the bow and 4 glue dots along the bottom and hid them under the base.

Christmas ornaments

I've been making ornaments like crazy! I'm having so much fun!

These first ones I saw online and had to try them.  They are cut from Coke cans.  I'll be making these all year I think, I just love them.

These are little fairy dresses, it's a file from the SIL store.  It's supposed to be a card but I shrunk them down to about 3 inches to make ornaments for Emily's tree she has in her room.
I'll have to make more of these too, for my main tree.  So many possibilities here with color combos and glitter, flowers...

This is one I've been thinking about making since May.  Emily was given the tassel when she graduated from Pre-K and this immediately came to mind.  I think I saw it originally on Pinterest, not sure.  But I cut vinyl and layered it on the ornament and added some little blue gems for sparkle. Then just shoved the tassel into the ornament and looped the hang cord through the metal hook on the ornament! Done! So fast and so cool!

I made this cute card for a sweet little girl I just learned about thanks to Facebook.
Her name is Safyre, (pronounced Sapphire).  She's an amazing little girl who was the soul survivor of an arson fire a few years ago.  She lost her father and 3 siblings in the blaze along with one of her hands and a foot.  She is a testament to the word fight and her Aunt posted a photo asking for Christmas cards to be sent to her.  I spent hours on her page reading about her and looking at her photos.  This little girl touched me deeply, so I found the cutest little tree I could find and made her super happy and cheery.  I hope Safyre gets a smile from her!
If you'd like to learn more about Safyre, her face book page is here.

Cute and Classy

I've got more Christmas for you...I love crafting for Christmas, it's my favorite by far.
So I thought I'd share a few more of my projects and maybe inspire you to start early this year.

This is an image from The Stamping Chef, isn't she gorgeous?

Fun penguin ornament, the twine is just taped to the inside of the card so it can easily be removed and placed on the tree.

I love the little jar of sparkle.  I found a bunch of different ones at our Dollar Tree, glitter, slivers and beads, so fun for cards.

These ornaments are designed by Cheryl at Creative Kuts, if you aren't part of the group you are missing out on a lot of files, a lot of them freebies!!

I'm adding this to the 12 Months of Christmas card link up

More gingerbread angels

Creative Kuts

8 days until Christmas!!!
As promised earlier, here are my other set of Ginger bread angle ornaments.
I really love these and their Peachy Keen faces.

This one I only cut one ornament because the paper was so pretty I wanted it showcased.

Same with this little sweety, I love that paper so much!
I had to use some gingerbread paper somewhere :)
And you can get a peak of Emily's scratch art angel in the background.  She's my budding artist.

I hope you are ready for Christmas, just 8 more days!!!  I can already hear the sleigh bells.

Ginger bread angels

Creative Kuts

21 days until Christmas!!!

I just love Creative Kuts, It's such a great group to be part of.  The company is run by caring and loving people who genuinely care about others and their crafts.
We had a naughty little game that was played and as a prize for participating we got these angel files.
At the suggestion of Cheryl, I turned mine into ornaments.  I cut the ornament the angel is holding 3 times, folded them in half then glued the half pieces on top of each other. Once dry and fanned out you have a really cute 3 dimensional piece.

I used my Peachy Keen face stamps to give them some cute charm

Check back with me later in the month to see the other set I made.
Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think!!

SVG cuts ornaments

Christmas Ornaments SVG Kit
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go...
I love making ornaments and fell in love with this file from SVG cuts, click the picture above to go buy your own.
These snowflake ornaments have tons of potential.  I kept these simple but think of the possibilities.

Thanks for stopping by, have you put your Christmas tree up? Are you making your own ornaments to add to your tree or to give as gifts? Let me know, I'd love to hear what you are up to.
